EXH_1149 VanHerpen Refinery Smoke 2008 dress - Bart Oomes_o2 (1)A few months ago I posted about the High Museum of Art‘s groundbreaking first fashion exhibition, Transforming Fashion: Iris Van Herpen, and then went to check it out myself. To say it was incredible would be an understatement, truly. Going from room to room and seeing the incredible work was an evening well spent. I was blown away by every piece and found myself staring at one in particular for quite a while. ( check out the silver stunner below!)

Featuring 45 outfits from 15 of van Herpen’s collections, this exhibition is an amazing celebration of the art of fashion design and features some of the world’s first 3D printed designs. For more information on the exhibit and 1000 other reasons to go see it before before it’s gone, check out my last post.

If you live in Atlanta and haven’t had a chance to check it out, this week is your last chance. The exhibition is open until May 15th. That’s exactly 6 days for you to get it together and get down to the High for one of the coolest things you’ll ever see. So, what are you waiting for!?

Winter Whites + The Perfect Sweater

Photos by Carlos Maldonado / Kamera.Studio Hi guys. Comin atcha with a quickie post today because it’s a very busy day. Really though, the number one thing I need to share here is this super comfy, perfectly slouchy sweater I picked up recently at the new Planet Blue Buckhead. I’ve been looking for a turtleneck…

Transforming Fashion: Iris Van Herpen

Vision. Innovation. A point of view. These are the things we’re taught to look for in truly outstanding new design and to be quite honest, I hear these descriptions being bestowed upon current designers pretty regularly without, what I think, is a real understanding of what that even means anymore. In an industry overflowing…

Styled: Fall 2015 Trend – Patchwork Leather

Photos by Carlos Maldonado / Kamera Well, it seems that Fall has finally arrived and with it, some cooler temps. Finally! I took this last week to revel in the crisp temperatures and pull out all of my sweaters, boots and classic leather pieces. I also took a moment to add some trendier fall pieces…

Fall Transition Style + Theory Staples

Photos by Carlos Maldonado / Kamera Summer is almost over and I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t ready for the temperature to start dropping. It’s still in the 90s here in Atlanta and every day I find myself wishing for it to be over already so I can trade in the sandals for…

Styled: Reformation Blazer

Photos by Carlos Maldonado / Kamera Ahh, the perfect longline blazer. Oversized, yet perfectly tailored. Breezy enough for summer wear but fully lined and thick enough for fall and winter too. Double breasted construction, shoulders padded just enough to have you feeling like the girlBOSS you are, and a buttery ivory color that goes with…

Styled: White Shirtdress, Black Fringe

Photos by Carlos Maldonado / Kamera   High-low dressing is pretty much a daily thing for me so I thought I’d share one of my go-to high/low looks this summer, featuring pieces from two of my favorite high-street brands — Zara and Topshop — and some of my favorite “high” accessories as of late, via Bella…
